Singapore - Malaysia Trip Day 0

Our Singapore-Malaysia trip was set 2 months prior the schedule. Since then, we conditioned the bagets with the trip and orient them on the tourist spots that they will be seeing. So for that 2 months, kuya Zed is really excited and looking forward to this trip.

Who's excited for another plane trip?

Nagsasa-Anawangin-Capones Island Hopping Day 2

See my previous post:Nagsasa-Anawangin-Capones Day 1 island hopping

The next day, I woke up early to catch the sunrise. Syempre pa gising ako dapat gising din si hubby. Haha

Just so you know, one of my favorite activity kasi is watching the sunrise and sunset if may chance.

Sunrise in Nagsasa Cove
The original plan was the boat will pick us up at 9am. However, the boat pala fetch other guests from Nagsasa cove to bring to Capones island kaya they went back for us at 11:30 na. To kill time, we spent our spare time taking lots of pictures.

Pre-nup shot???

The clear blue sea of Nagsasa cove as backgorund

ANAWANGIN COVE

When we get to Anawangin, we were surprised seeing countless tourists and campers on the island. A bit dissapointing kasi sa dami ng tourist, medyo madumi ang water and maraming basura everywhere.

We arrived in Anawangin Cove at past 12:00. Dito na kami naglunch. We looked for a shade on the inner part of the cove. But we have to pass the knee-high river of Anawangin. Medyo mainit ang water because of the heat of the sun and medyo dirty din. Kaso we have no choice, instead of taking the long way.
Brownish water of Anawangin river
And yes, I'm cooking! Minsan lang yan. Haha

After lunch, hubby and I volunteered to look after our stuffs while the rest of the group decided to trek the peak of Anawangin cove and the others go swimming. We did not come along anymore because I cannot bear the heat of the sun. Plus, ang dami ding jelly fishes.

The inner part of the cove has lots of Agoho trees. Wala na masyadong tao because the place that we took for rest is medyo malayo na sa shore. Kaya hubby make kabit our hammock to two of the Agoho trees for me to rest.

See how tall those Agoho trees could be?
CAPONES ISLAND AND LIGHTHOUSE

We left Anawangin at around 2pm and proceeded to Capones island. It is a 30minute ride. We have been looking forward for this side trip to Capones island. Not only because of its clear waters but also because of the famous Capones lighthouse.

Approaching Capones island to lighthouse side
The visit to Capones island should be of proper timing because boats can only docked near the shore if its high tide. In our case, the boat parked a little far from the rocky shore because it's low tide. Kaya we have no choice but to swim the chest-high water leaving all our DSLRs in the boat. Good thing we have our waterproof camera with us and we were able to take pictures pa din.

The boatman provided rope to be our guide towards the rocky shore
Group picture after naming magasgas sa mga bato
The trail to the lighthouse is somewhat adventure because you will be passing the stone stairs, rocky and slight masukal trail before reaching the lighthouse giving someone a feeling of discovering an old structure in a jungle.

This structure is one of the lighthouses approved by the Spanish colonizers to be built in the Philippine archipelago. After seven years of construction, the Capones island lighthouse began to operate on July 16,1890 but was formally inaugurated on Auguts 1,1890. This structure's light guides the international vessels and ships entering and leaving the ports of Manila and Subic bay.

Since it is crowded inside the lighthouse, we took pictures first outside the lighthouse showing the enchanting panorama of the sea and the sky.

And picture taking inside.

The interior of the lighthouse is deteriorating already but did not stop me from admiring the structure. It is very obvious that they dedicated time in planning the construction of the lighthouse to withstand whatever weather and condition.

Going back to the boat
Since we cannot swim comfortably because of the rocky shore and the boatmen wants to make bawi, they offered to bring us on the white sand beach in the same island din.

Visible white sand even from afar
The simplicity of this island without the luxurious amenities makes it breathtakingly beautiful. To maximize the time in this island, the tourist can stay overnight and just simply make arrangements with the boat operators to fetch you the following day. Since there are no facilities in the island, one can just bring tents and enjoy the star gazing all through the night.

Why so macho honey??? haha

Sun sets while leaving Capones island

Visita Iglesia 2016

VISITA IGLESIA 2016

Church 1: Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage

Antipolo church, just like Via Dolorosa, is also a yearly visit. With the spanish of Nuestra SeƱora de la Paz y del Buen Viaje, she is the patron of travellers and sailors. This cathedral has an upstair room where you can touch the veil of the Virgin Mary and a room where all her dresses are displayed.

Church 2: Sto. Rosario de Pasig

This is a Roman Catholic Church in Pasig City which is formerly called Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish. This parish is one of the three parishes in the Diocese of Pasig that has been granted the special papal blessing to mark its Jubilee Year in connection with its 50th anniversary.

Church 3: Mary Mother of God Parish

And the solemness of visita iglesia did not stop my mom from asking a picture from one of her idols.

Fan mode on!
Church 5: St. Peregrine Parish Shrine

St. Peregrine Laziosi Parish Shrine is located at National Road, Tunasan, Muntinlupa City. He is the patron saint of the sick and cancer patients.

One thing that made this shrine very special is a piece of  the Italian saint that is enshrined here, a rib bone.

Church 6: Shrine of Lolo Uweng

The church of Llolo Uweng is wide and airconditioned. Countless devotees visit this church every Friday to attend mass believing on the miraculous ways of Lolo Uweng.

At the right side of the church, there is a very long line. At the end of the line lies the Jesus in the Holy Sepulchre whom people fondly called Lolo Uweng.

Church 7: San Vicente Ferrer Parish Church

San Vicente Parish is a Roman Catholic Church located at Brgy. San Vicente in the town of Binan, Laguna.
