Me and my hubby Ralph are anticipating this Palawan trip so much. Because we booked tickets for Puerto Princesa before but due to unavoidable circumstances, it did not pursue. Kaya when Cebu Pacific notified me in my email that they will have a domestic promo fares again, i did not hesitate and book us a trip. The trip was scheduled a year after it was booked. Kasi nga promo nga eh. Haha. And of course, I tagged my most favorite among my favorite travel buddies, Jorge, Shey, and now his happily ever after Rey.
Our flight to Puerto Princesa is at 1:00pm, February 21. The flight was slightly delayed and we boarded at 2:00pm instead.
We arrived at PPS airport at 3:30pm and as planned, we went straight to El Nido.
Prior to this trip, accommodations and the tour packages were already set. And I am in charge. Just so you know, we are budget travellers and we want to get the cheapest expenses as much as possible. In short, budgeted dapat lahat ng gastos. But still, budgeted in a way that it will not compromise the word "vacation" and "relaxation". Kaya I was not surprised that somebody is shouting my name when we got out from the airport, the van driver who will take us to El Nido. He just asked us to settle the 500php fare and gora na!
Grabe pala ang road to El Nido. Para syang bitukang manok dagdagan pa that the driver took the trip in 4.5 hours instead of 5.5 hours. Buti na lang at tulog kami lahat. Haha
We arrived in El Nido at exactly 8:30 in the evening. We asked the tricycle drivers in the terminal to bring us to Cabugao Lodge. Fare is 50php per trike.
Nothing special with the accommodation. Simple room na may sariling bathroom, aircon, and 2 double sized beds. We just asked for additional mattres for Jorge. Sya lang kasi ang single sa group at masama ang loob nya dahil dun. Haha
Rate per night is P1,500 split into 5. Super mura na diba? The owner did not charge us na for the additional mattress that we asked. Plus nasa beach front na sya so walking distance na lang ang jump off to island hopping.
We just rest for a couple of minutes and went outside to look for restaurants for our late dinner. After an hour of walking along the beach front and its small main highway, BIG MAMA'S lang ang tumanggap sa amin. Maaga kasi pala nagcclose ang mga restaurants dun except for the bars na tambayan ng mga foreigners. And it is so usual that the streets ay puro foreigners kesa sa pinoy. And based on our research, cheapest meals in El Nido is 180 per meal. Silog meals lang yun. I ordered Chicksilog at P200.00 and hubby ordered Porksilog at P180.00.
Clockwise: hubby Ralph, Me, Jorge, Rey and Shey

After dinner, we went back to the lodge and called it a day.
