Puerto Pricesa: City Tour Part 1 - Crocodile Farm and Mitra's Ranch

See my previous post: El Nido Tour A

We checked in at the Angelique's Mansion at 11pm. This was also arranged prior our trip to avoid hassle. The rate is P2,800 per night split into 5. Not bad na di ba? With cable pa yan and heater. Plus may complimentary breakfast pa.

The next day, the van pick us up at exactly 1pm. City tour is only a half day tour. You can choose from 8am or 1pm schedule. We chose the latter to have ample time to rest.

Rate for this tour is P500 per head. In this rate, you will be joining other groups. We chose the P600 per head rate. In this rate naman, we had a van exclusive only for our group.

Let's start the tour.

CROCODILE FARM

Palawan Wildlife Rescue and Conservation Center is the new name of this museum because they breeds and houses not only crocodiles but also other endangered animals that were rescued.

The museum has a followed scheduled tour every 30 minutes. Since we came a little past 1pm, we waited for the 1:30 schedule.

This is not Lolong kasi nasa Mindanao siya. Before Lolong was captured, this crocodile holds the records of being the largest crocodile in the Philippines. The locals were triggered daw to capture this crocodile because this has eaten a young girl. He just died because of stress just like Lolong. Kaya guys, take note, nakamamatay ang stress! :)

Its skin and bones are for displaying purposes only. Masyado na daw matanda ang skin ng crocodile to be used in making shoes and bags. Crocodile's skin must be until two years of age para kayanin ng mga machines in making shoes and bags. This just shows how big saltwater crocodiles can grow.

This museum breeds freshwater and salt water crocodiles. But freshwater crocodiles are listed to be critically endangered.

Outside the hatchling house are crocodiles ages two to ten years old.

The buwis buhay shot!

Just outside the museum is a self guided mini ecopark . This ecopark homes other endangered species.

MITRA'S RANCH

The ranch is located in Sta. Monica Heights in Puerto Princesa and is owned by the family of the late House representative Ramon "Monching" Mitra Jr.

The view in this ranch is so relaxing. Ang sarap na ng hangin, ang ganda pa ng view. Ang sarap mag-siesta.

Guests' slippers and shoes must be left outside the mansion
