NAGSASA-ANAWANGIN-CAPONES ISLAND HOPPING
I am a certified lakwatsera. And my friends can attest to that.
And because its summer time, they urged me to organize an outing. And because I am an adventurous one, I don't want it to be just a simple outing. Hence, the Nagsasa-Anawangin-Capones island hopping was finalized last May 1, 2015.
We met up at Jollibee Evangelista at 6:00am. But because of some "aberya", we left at 7:30. Meet the group!
It took us almost 4 hours to reach San Antonio public market because of the traffic. We took our lunch in one of the small carenderias here. And as planned, each one of us contributed for our over all budget to buy food supplies that will be cooked in the island.

There are many boats and boatmen in the beach. You can rent a boat upon reaching here. In our case, we already had contact with the boatman prior this trip so we saved time in negotiations. We got ours from OLX.COM and was able to haggle it down to P4,500 for two days island hopping the 3 coves which is I think is a good deal na. Our boat is more than ready to go na because we were super late based on our agreed time of arrival. So gora na agad.

The beaches of San Antonio, Zambales used to be rocky. But when Mt. Pinatubo erupted decades ago, it poured volcanic ash that produced these perfectly beautiful beaches. Sabi nga ni Daniel kay Kathryn, "a beautiful disaster". Years after that disaster, agoho trees started to grow. Parang Baguio lang ang feeling. This made Nagsasa and Anawangin special.
We started pitching our tent afterwards.
And by the way, the boatmen also offers tent (with additional charge) and other cooking stuffs like kaldero, sandok and others included in their boat rental package. But since we are mountaineers by hobby, we were able to provide ourselves and the rest of the group the tents and other basic cooking things. We are in a large group lang kaya nanghiram na lang kami ng additional kaserola for the ulam that we will be cooking, and griller. We also asked the boatman to provide us a gallon of mineral water. And take note, make sure that your drinking water will be sufficient for your whole stay in the island. There is a mini tindahan in Nagsasa that sells water din naman. Kaso di naman natin sure kung safe sya inumin. Naubusan kami ng water the next day, At iba ang lasa ng tubig and iba ang pakiramdam sa tyan. hehe
Nagsasa has open cottages for P100 each. It also has toilet and water sources that is definitely not for drinking.

We had grilled liempo, grilled eggplant, chicken sisig, and sinampalukang manok (not in the picture) for dinner.
After the dinner, ang pinakapaboritong socials naman. I am always looking forward for the socials whether we are in the mountain campsite or in the beach. Favorite ko kasing mamapak ng pulutan because I don't drink. Plus this is a relaxing moment while making fun of each other.
That ended up our first day.
